Meet YML, the heartbeat of the DMV music scene. Born on July 8th, 1989, YML has forged a legendary career as a percussion maestro, captivating audiences across R&B, Go-Go, and Gospel music. His journey began at The Scripture Cathedral in Washington, D.C., where, at just 5 years old, he discovered his passion for drumming. Recognized for his exceptional talent, YML's career blossomed under the guidance of seasoned professionals in his hometown, earning him the moniker "the Human Metronome." His electrifying beats have resonated worldwide, from Nigeria to ESPN's Scott Van Pelt Show theme song with the legendary Trouble Funk. YML has shared stages with industry luminaries, 2 Chainz, Eric Bellinger, SugarHill Gang to the DC roots Chuck Brown Band, WHAT Band and Backyard Band. His accolades include two Best of DC Drummer nominations for the GOGO Awards. Today, at 36, he continues to excel as a Music Director, solo artist, producer, and CEO, promising an exciting future filled with boundless creativity. You can catch him touring with Raheem Devaughn and performing with both of his bands NTHEMOMENT and his solo project XTHECREATVZ
